37 Students begin Secondary School in January 2008!

Local Tanzanian students started a new year of schooling on January
8th. Project Kesho, with the help of donors and school sponsors,
was able to support thirty-seven students who are orphans or unable
to
pay for secondary school costs on their own. Each student was required
to take an examination for acceptance into secondary school, which
37 out of 50 prospective Kesho sponsored students passed. Students
will attend secondary schools in the area including: Irole Secondary
School, Udekwa Secondary School and Tosamaganga Secondary School.
Sponsorship provided these students with one year of school tuition
and the funds
to purchase needed books and supplies. Project Kesho sized each student
for a new uniform, which was tailored and ready for their very first
day of school! Learn more...
